President Kenyatta has been asked by Sarah Obama to create a foundation for Barack Obama University College in Siaya County.
Sarah is looking to create a landmark memory for her grandson Barack Obama.
"A 50-acre piece of land has been set aside for the ambitious project," she said as reported by the Daily Nation.
It is believed that this took place following a visit from the founder of Barack Obama University Professor Michael Muiga.
Sarah further shared her concerns about the current state of Barack Obama secondary and primary schools.
"Both the primary and secondary school sections are in bad state. We need to support them as they will act as reservoirs for local brains being prepared to join the Barack Obama University."
Muiga lamented the fact that the college has taken such a long period to be established and has linked internal backbiting and politics as the cause.
He said the university will focus on courses to deal with irrigation engineering while stating that professors from prestigious universities in the US will also be on boarded.
