The deceased’s residence [Photo/nation.co.ke]Police in Kisii are investigating an incident in which as forty-year-old man was hacked to death by unknown persons at Sansora Village, Masaba South. The deceased, Mr. Jared Atanga, was reportedly lured by unidentified persons before he was killed after returning to his home at 7 pm on a fateful day. Confirming the incident, Kisii County Police Commander Abdi Hassan said that a woman linked to the heinous act has been arrested. The motive behind the death is yet to be disclosed. “Up to now we cannot clearly [tell] the motive of the killing until investigations are complete,” said Mr. Hassan, as quoted by Daily Nation. According to the wife, Gladys Nyambeki, the man left his house during supper time after unknown person asked him to go out and check on him. The widow also said that the man stayed for over an hour only to come back with blood oozing from his head.The man, however, did not reveal the identity of the neighbor he alleged had sent him the message through his phone. Nyambeki, a mother of five further said the husband only said that he was dying. The deceased’s brother, Magati, said that he had panga cuts on the head, hands, back and nape among other areas. The kin rushed him to Gesusu Sub-County Hospital where he was pronounced dead. Area Chief Orina Ondicho said the police are probing the incident.
