A 59-year-old man has committed suicide by hanging himself after attacking his brother and son with a panga in Kikaawa village, Masinga sub-county, Machakos county.
The man is said to have accused his brother and son of stealing his money that was hidden in the house before attacking them with a panga.
Confirming the incident, Itunduimuni sub location subchief Michael Soja said the man could have committed suicide due to panic after injuring his brother.
"The man attacked his brother and son with a panga leaving them with serious injuries, maybe he thought they had died and decided to take his life.
Sub-chief Soja advised residents to always talk about their problems before deciding to hurt each other or committing suicide.
Those who were injured are receiving treatment at Ekalakala dispensary as the body of the man was taken to Matuu mediance hospital.
