The man accused of breaking into and attempting to steal from Equity Bank, Thika branch has been released on bond.
Vincent Murerwa Munene, 27, was released on a Sh1 million surety bond by Thika Chief Magistrate court on Wednesday.
Munene was arrested inside the banking hall on Sunday morning and arraigned in court on Monday where he denied breaking into the facility with intent to commit felony.
The suspect is said to have gained access into the bank through the roof using a hacksaw.
Judge Teresia Murigi ordered that the case be mentioned on April 26.
The hearing begins on August 20, 2018.
