A suspect accused of committing an unnatural act with a sheep has told the court that charges against him were a ploy by his brother to silence him following a family land ownership row.

According to the prosecution, the man is accused of being found red-handed committing the crime on March 23, this year in Mutwo Village of Keiyo South Sub County.

It’s is claimed the suspect was found on top of his brother's sheep.

“All these charges is a plot to silence me over family land which my brother has grabbed,” the suspect James Kimeli Kiptoo told the court.

While appearing before Deputy Registrar of the Eldoret court Mildred Munyekenye, the suspect denied all the charges.

He was released on a Sh100, 000 bond or be detained at the Eldoret police if he fails to raise the money.

Court documents indicate that the matter was reported to the area chief after which the suspect was arrested and taken to Mutwo police station.

The case has been set for hearing on April 25.
