A middle aged was on Thursday arraigned in a Thika court for defiling a 15 year old girl.
Peter Maina, 26, an employee in mama Samuel's' shamba in Kamahuha-Pundamilia village appeared before the resident magistrate Hon Onsorigo and pleaded innocent.
The court heard that the accused defiled the minor on 23/03/2013 in Pundamilia village at 11:30 am. It is alleged that the girl was resting under a mango tree at their home when the incident happened.
The man is accused to have threatened to beat up the girl if she ever reveals that to people. The girl however divulged the information to her mother who was working in a nearby farm.
She took her to Makuyu hospital where the minor was treated and put on post trauma treatment.
The mother later reported the the vice at Makuyu police post.
Maina prayed for cash bail which the magistrate denied on noting how serious the crime was and the threats promised to the minor by the accused.
The case will proceed on 30/04/2015 where the last witness who is a police man is scheduled to table his inputs in the suit.
