A 22-year-old man arraigned before a Nakuru court  on Friday has denied eight counts of robbery with violence, rape, handling stolen goods and indecent act.

Appearing before senior principal magistrate Liz Gicheha, Kelvin Karanja Thuo denied having committed the offenses jointly together with others not before court at JB estate in Nakuru on December 30 2016, February 5 2017 and February 9 2017.

He is alleged to have raped and touched the private parts of Daisy Chebet and Susan Wambui and also stealing cash and mobile phones while armed with assorted weapons including a pistol.

The court ordered that he be remanded at Nakuru G.K prison awaiting production of a probation report. 

The case will be mentioned on February14 when bond terms will be decided upon.
