An elderly man was on Friday arraigned in a Kiambu Law court for allegedly been accused of practicing witchcraft in Thindigwa, Kiambu Sub County. The accused Jonathan Ouko appeared before Resident Magistrate Monica Kivuti .The prosecution desk told the court that on the 21st May 2015 at around 5pm, the accused was reported by a neighbor, Beth Njoki at Kiambu police station for what is believed to have been helping thugs in witchcraft not to be arrested during their criminal activities. It Is said that the accused was involved in performing witchcraft to criminals in a bid to help them not be arrested and succeed in their criminal acts. Young men who looked suspicious could come daily in his house and some witchcraft acts would be performed and then he could be paid. Police took action and went to the accused house at around 6pm were they found him performing some witchcraft to a group of young men. Police arrested him together with the tools he was using in his witchcraft together with his clients. The witchcraft tools were present in court as exhibit. The accused however pleaded not guilty and the Resident Magistrate Kivuti adjourned the case for a hearing on the11th of June 2015. Ouko was issued a cash bail of ksh100,000
