A Nairobi man has blamed the Mbagathi Hospital for neglecting him and his sick cousin leading to his death.
Evans Ayodo claims that he took his cousin to the hospital on Saturday after being referred from the Mama Lucy Hospital but when he tried to get help from the first nurse on sight, she brushed him aside saying that the patient was not in critical condition.
Ayodo was almost giving up as he was suffering from tuberculosis. The nurse then told him to take his cousin to the ward and went away without even taking a look.
Several minutes later the patient died while claiming to be too thirsty and Ayodo walked to the nurse and told her that he was holding her responsible for the death and that is when she went to look only to find him dead.
Ayodo then took to the social media where he narrated the horrible experience titling ''8 hours of suffering'' before it reached the health cabinet secretary.
The Kenya Medical and Dentists board boss, Daniel Yumbia has since summoned the hospital administration to present themselves on the 16th next month and explain the situation.
