A man from Machakos town is seeking justice after he was allegedly bitten by a dog belonging to officers from Machakos County inspectorate department.
Simon Mulinge says he was heading to his home in Eastleigh area on October 20, at around 11pm where on reaching Kathembo area a Machakos inspectorate patrol officer released the dog that bit him.
"I was walking to Eastleigh where I stay when the enforcement officer released the dog that bit me," he claims.
Mulinge said that the officers took him to Machakos Level Five Hospital where they left him. He says his complaint is yet to be addressed even after reporting to the police in Machakos after the incident.
The deputy commander of the inspectorate in Machakos county who spoke to this writer regarding the matter said that the victim was drunk and had tried to fight with an officer before he was bitten by the dog and the case is in the hands of police.
However, the OCPD Adiel Nyange said that he will follow the case closely and that it was necessary for the victim to record his statement afresh on Monday o as the case be dealt with according to the law.
