Police in Thika are searching for a man who allegedly defiled his five-year-old daughter in late last year in Thika’s Landless area within Kiambu County.
John Ndungu who is the organizing manager at a local NGO is said to have defiled his five-year-old daughter on December 28 in his home area of Thika, and threatened to kill her if she reported the issue to his wife
Margret Wangari, the wife, who sought help from the police and Thika children’s office said that she noticed some stains in her daughter’s pants, and she decided to check on her only to find that the husband had defiled her.
The daughter confessed to have been raped by the father three days after Christmas, and he threatened to kill her if she reported to her mother.
Deputy police boss in Thika Mary Kiarie has revealed that the man has gone into hiding, and the police are sorting on ways to bring him to justice.
“The man has gone into hiding and as soon as we have a hint of where he may be, we are going to bring him to justice, no one can go defiling small children we have here as even the bible is against it,” said Kiarie.
“The man is supposed to be one of the respected man in the society but instead he cannot even be responsible of his family,” added the officer.
