Police from Kithimani have arrested a middle-aged man for allegedly raping a fifteen-year-old girl in Kalukuni area in Yatta sub-county.

Confirming the incident Ikombe Administration police inspector Antony Mutua said that the suspect was arrested in his home in Kalukuni area. 

The police had been searching for the suspect who went into hiding after committing the act. 

The officer noted that the suspected committed the act after tricking the girl with three hundred shillings. 

Mutua disclosed that the police are also searching for three other men who are suspected of harassing the young girl on that fateful day. 

The suspect is held at Kithimani police station as he awaits to appear before court on Monday next week.
