A middle-aged man was arrested in Tala town on Tuesday after he was found with two goats suspected to be stolen.

According to Tala police station, OCS James Njiiri is that the suspect was arrested as he was taking the goats to the market to sell them the day being a market day.

Njiiri said that the suspect stole the goats fro his mothers home with an intention to sell them. The officer warned residents to be vigilant while buying livestock where he urges them to be seeking phone numbers and identification numbers of the sellers. 

"Buying stolen items is a crime that could get you charged with handling stolen goods, one should be careful when purchasing any item," warned Njiiri. 

The suspect is held in Tala police station as he awaits to appear in court on Wednesday.
