A middle-aged-man was arraigned in a Thika Law Court accused of being in possession of crude weapons.
However, the accused Benjamin Mwangi 28, from Kiandutu Slums pleaded not guilty before Residents Magistrate Martha Mutuku.
Prosecution Desk told the Court that irked members of the public leaked the sensitive information to the area Police officers who immediately apprehended Mwangi and took him to Thika Police Station in March 30 this year.
The Prosecution Desk said that the accused was in possession of three swords, a pistol and one machete all that were suspected to be of criminal endeavours. All the weapons were produced in the Court as exhibit number 1, 2 and 3.
The accused lamented to the packed Court how Daniel Muriuki who is an enemy to him prompted to tarnish his reputation by availing information and later filing a case against the allegations.
Magistrate Mutuku noted that only a few days another man from the same area was arrested for being in possession of a pistol and advised public to be sensitive and report all cases of crime and immorality from Kiandutu.
The accused was however added a bond of Sh80,000 without an alternative of cash bail. The case will resume in May 25 this year.
