The suspect is said to have buried his wife, Zipporah Kwamboka Omoke, a mother of five secretly in a tea plantation, Bosigisa village Kenyerere in Nyamira County.
Area police boss Francis Wambugu confirmed the incident and said relatives of the deceased had reported when the deceased went missing.
Wambugu said police officers with the help of area chief arrested the man who upon interrogation confessed executing the crime.
“The man admitted killing his wife after police questioned him. He led the officers to where he had buried her”, said Wambugu.
The police boss said the suspect will be arraigned in court to face murder charges once police complete investigations.
