A man from Mbaruku, Nakuru County has been arrested after he allegedly sodomised a mentally challenged 17-year-old boy.
The man identified only as Omulwa is said to have committed the crime on Saturday last week after he enticed the boy with mandazis.
"I was informed by our pastor who came to my house and asked me to ask my son what had happened to him. When I asked him, he showed me by gestures as he does not understand what it means," the boy's mother told journalists at her home yesterday.
The boy's mother said that they took the boy to hospital immediately where it was confirmed that indeed he had been sodomised.
She added that she has been suspecting that the man was doing something fishy with her son but could not tell what it was.
"When the doctor's report was finally out, it just confirmed my worries of what I had all long been suspecting," the mother said.
The family is now calling for a stern legal action to be taken against the suspect who is still held at Nakuru Police Station awaiting to be charged in court.
