Crime suspect arrested. [Photo/Standard.] Police officers at Igonga police station in Bomariba are currently holding a middle-aged man for allegedly stealing his girlfriend’s mobile phone worth Sh10,000.
The suspect Boniface Morikwa is said to have committed the offense on December 22.
Police said the suspect’s girlfriend only identified as Veronica reported that her phone went missing on the night of December 22.
“Morikawa was arrested after his girlfriend whom they have been living from October said he stole her phone and sold it to one of his friends. He will be arraigned in court on Thursday,” said an officer Boaz Onderi.
The suspect pleaded with his girlfriend to forgive him but in vain.
“I must get back my phone before I will forgive him and we can’t continue living together with a thief,” said Veronica.
