A -28-year old man has been arrested for threatening to kill his family in Masinga, Machakos County.
The man was nabbed after he allegedly threatened to kill his three children and wife in Utithini on Monday.
Confirming the incident, Kaewa sub-chief Josphat Mawia said the accused attempted to throw his last bone child into a pit latrine after he engaged in a quarrel with the wife but his efforts failed since the child could not fit the hole
Mawia said the public helped him apprehend the culprit following a phone call from the latter's wife.
"The wife called me and I responded immediately together with members of the community policing, the man kept on saying he will kill them all," Mawia said.
The man had allegedly asked to be given money collected during an event held at his parents home.
"After his parents refused to bow down to his order, he threatened to murder his family," Mawia added.
Mawia said the man had been held at Masinga Police Station and will appear in court after completion of investigations.
