A man was on April 12 in the morning arrested by are sub-chief Timothy Nzioka community policing officers in Ekalakala after he was allegedly found with stolen illicit brew.

According to Nzioka, a certain bar had been broken into the previous night by unknown people who stole several crates of beer. 

"The matter was reported to me at around 5am in the morning whereby I notified community policing officers who accompanied me for patrol in outskirts of the small town. We were able to get the four stolen beer crates and the suspect," said Nzioka.

Nzioka expressed his concerns over increased theft activities in the Ekalakala and promised to work tirelessly with community policing officers and Administration Police officers to eradicate the menace. 

He also warned thieves in the area to avoid the illegal activity and engage themselves in profitable activities leading them to right directions. 

The culprit was taken to Ekalakala police station as he awaits to be arraigned in court.
