A middle aged man is nursing serious injuries he sustained when he was attacked by unknown people in Kebiro village Gekano.
It is suspected that the goons who attacked the man were hired by his wife who he divorced one month ago.
Speaking from his hospital bed on Friday, the man identified as Rodgers said he was returning home on Wednesday night from a local bar when he was attacked by people who were wearing helmets.
“I could not identify the goons because they descended on me with kicks and blows. They did not speak for me to know who they were but I suspect it is my ex-wife who I parted ways with one month ago,” he said.
He called on Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru to move with speed and order police to probe the matter and arrest the attackers to be prosecuted in a court of law.
“I want the attackers be arrested. Police should start investigating my ex-wife because she threatened to harm me when I divorced her,” he added.
