A middle aged man was admitted at the Tigoni Sub-county hospital in Limuru under police watch after he tried to commit suicide after defiling his 10 year old daughter.
Peter Muiruri was recovering and undergoing medical treatment after having ingested a pesticide used in cattle dips, which left him unconscious but was luckily found by the police before he died.
Muiruri was found unconscious by the Limuru police who were looking for him after he went into hiding after being busted defiling his own daughter.
The girl said that the father threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone what he used to do to her.
The girl’s mother however, one day returned home unexpectedly and found the girl without her inner clothes and crying, and upon further probing learned about the father's inhumane acts.
Before attempting suicide, the man who is a mechanic in Limuru town allegedly destroyed furniture in his house and was even planning to harm his wife and other children.
The man is the girl’s step father since he married her mother when she already had her while her other siblings are his biological children.
Confirming the incidence, Limuru OCS Isaiah Langat said that the case was under police investigations and the accused would be arraigned in court for his actions.
