A man charged at Keroka law courts for killing his wife. [Photo/Standard.]A man who is accused of killing his wife was on Monday charged with murder at Keroka law courts.
The court heard that Hillary Okemwa killed his wife Zipporah Kwamboka on Friday night and buried her secretly in a tea plantation after a domestic quarrel.
After committing the crime Okemwa called his in-laws and informed them that his wife had gone missing.
The following morning the in-laws launched a search and discovered a shallow grave in the family's tea plantation.
Keroka police boss Peter Wambugu confirmed the incident and area chief arrested the man who was questioned and admitted to having killed his wife.
According to neighbors, the couple has been quarreling.
The accused will remain in custody until February 20, 2018, when the case will be mentioned.
