Patrick Bosire was arraigned before the Senior Resident Magistrate Phylis Shinyada for robbery with violence at Bonde Estate.

Mr Bosire was accused of robbing Owen Apunda on October 7 last year at Bonde Estate in Kisumu County.

The particulars of the offense were that the accused jointly with the others who were not before court while armed with rungus, robbed Mr Apunda off his attires he wore on the said date and a mobile phone all valued at Sh20,785.

When he first appeared in court he pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a bond of Sh300,000 with similar surety.

Ms Shinyada then directed that the accused be supplied with copies of witness statements and any other document that the prosecution intends to rely upon.

Yesterday when Mr Bosire was put to his defense on the charges labeled against him, he prayed with the court to accord him justice while observing that he was accused wrongly.

He however did not bring any witness to testify in his defense.

The case will be mentioned on April 18, pending the determination on May 23, before the magistrate court.
