A man has chased his wife from home on grounds that she was applying lipstick.
This happened in Ngege village, Kisii County and left many residents in shock.
Mr Enock Moriango, arrived in his home on Monday evening from work and found his wife dressed leaving for the market.
"Why are you always applying this red things on your mouth? I met you when you never used such things and I don't like them," he said.
The wife tried to oppose him and the man asked him to leave his compound with immediate effect.
A neighbor known as Olpha Oroo said that he saw the lady leaving the home with her belongings.
"All I know the man has been asking his wife not to wear trousers mini-skirts and applying lipstick. It seems he had enough of it," said Oroo.
Questioned why he decided to send his wife away, Mr Moriango said that since his wife started doing lipstick he realised she was becoming lazy.
"I will not go on living with a lazy woman who behaves like an underaged girl. Am tired of her and I better get a better wife," he said.
Area assistant chief Simon Mbwayo said the woman reported the matter at his office and he summoned the two to appear at his office today to solve the matter.
