A Kisumu man faced the wrath of angry locals baying for his blood after he allegedly tried to steal a TV decoder.

A video shared by KTN shows the young man in the middle of angry crowd wielding rungus as each try to hit him.

The man allegedly stole the decoder at a homestead in Kisumu International Airport.

The man tried to escape but the locals eventually caught up with him.

In the video, the man pleads with the angry mob to forgive him but his pleas falls on deaf ears. 

As a result of the beating, the man suffered injuries on his face and mouth.

Police officers arrived at the scene and calmed the situation before matters got worse.

The suspected thief was arrested and taken to the station for questioning.
