Residents of Sotik in Bomet County are still in shock after a father chopped off the manhood of a man he found having sex with his high school-going daughter in a lodging.
The father is said to have gotten rumours that his daughter, who was on his way to school, was with a man whom she has been having an affair with in a lodging within the town.
It is alleged that the father armed himself with a machete and decided to storm the premises where he chopped off the manhood of the man before escaping.
The boyfriend is currently being treated at Kapkatet District Hospital while the father is still missing.
Confirming the incident, area Chief Paul Langat said that the incident is regrettable and called on the members of the public to volunteerily give information that would lead to the arrest of the man .
"This is quite unfortunate. It was wrong to have sexual relations with a minor and it is also wrong to take the law into your own hands," said Langat.
