A man has committed suicide after he disagreed with his wife.
The incident happened on Friday at Bogitocho village in Bomariba ward, Kisii County.
Neighbors told Hivisasa that the deceased has been complaining about his wife having illicit love affairs with men outside wedlock.
"The man lived complaining that his wife was having someone outside wedlock. We suspect that is the cause of their differences," said Mr Enock Nyamoko, a local.
Area assistant chief Benjamin Ayuma confirmed the incident and said the deceased body was recovered by his wife dangling from the roof of their bedroom on Friday morning.
“The wife found her husband’s lifeless body dangling from the roof of their house. It is said that they quarreled on Thursday something that led him to take his own life,” he said.
He urged men to seek spiritual guidance whenever they are having trouble with their wives instead of taking their own lives.
The deceased body was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital mortuary.
