Keiyo man commited suicide two weeks after his wife gave birth to twins.
A man, 34, in Keiyo North committed suicide by jumping into a borehole at his home in Katalel on Sunday evening.
It is believed that, the man decided to end his life after it became difficult for him to provide for his wife who gave birth to twins two weeks ago.
Residents went to rescue him but found he had already died.
Luka Ruto, Katelel West assistant chief confirmed the incident.
"He had no mental problems but he may have faced challenges catering for the twins. The deceased had not quarreled with his wife or neighbours," Ruto said.
He urged residents to confide in friends and relatives whenever they have domestic problems instead of taking own lives.
The body was taken to Iten County Referral Hospital mortuary as police launched investigations over the matter.
