A 23-year old man commuted suicide by hanging himself on Sunday night in Kiliku village, Kangundo sub-county, Machakos county.

According to Kiliku sub-location subchief Dorothy Kisangai, the man had attempted suicide two weeks ago by consuming poison but failed.

Kisangani said that the man arrived home where he lived with his parents at around 10 pm after spending the whole day in Kikambuani market and locked himself where his mother later found him hanging from the ceiling on Monday morning.

"This is not the first time the young man has attempted suicide, it's only that this time round he succeeded," said Kisangani. 

The body of the deceased was taken to Kangundo level four hospital mortuary for postmortem.
