A man hanged himself on Thursday in Serembe Kiong’ong’i area Sameta area, Kisii County under unclear circumstances.
The deceased mother identified as Kerubo said her son has been living in Kitale and he came home to visit them a week ago.
“I went to his house early in the morning to wake him up so that he could take his breakfast. He told me I serve his tea as he wakes up. When he took long to come I send my grandson to call him only to find his body dangling from the rooftop of his house,” said the mother in tears.
She said his son was in good terms with everyone and the family was shocked by his death.
“He had no differences with anyone in the family. As a family we can’t tell why he decided to hang himself because he didn’t leave behind a suicide note,” added the mother.
The man’s body was taken to Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital mortuary by police officers from Sameta.
