A man aged 28 committed suicide by hanging self on Wednesday night at Bogeka village, Kitutu Masaba Nyamira County.
Family members said the man identified as Simba Ondara, had no pressing issues at the time he committed the crime.
"Our brother was in good health and he never looked disturbed. It is a shock as family to announce his death," said one of the deceased brothers.
Area assistant chief Joseph Gichana confirmed the incident and said he was informed about the man's death on Thursday morning.
"I received the information about the death of the man. I rushed to the homestead only to find the body of the man dangling from the roof of his house," said Gichana.
Gichana raised alarm over increased suicide cases in the area and urged residents to seek spiritual advice whenever they get troubled.
