A man has committed suicide in Bogitaa village, Riana ward in Kisii County after his parents denied to give him land inheritance.
It is said Mr Denis Obare hanged himself at a nearby bush the same day his parents told him they would not work with his timelines but their own.
"He was demanding that they give him his land and the parents opposed the idea saying that he was planning to sell the land and purchase a motorbike," said Jackson Onyonka, a neighbor.
Mr Onyonka further said that the man further dropped out of school two years ago and started drinking illicit brew.
Mr James Kurendi the area clan elder said that the deceased body was found in the bush hanging from a tree.
He said that the man could have instead asked for guidance from them instead of taking his life away.
"It is a big challenge that the young man decided to take his life away just because of a disagreement over inheritance land. How I wish be came to us and asked for advise," said Mr Kurendi.
The deceased bosy was taken to the Kisii Teaching and Referral hospital mortuary.
