A 27-year-old man who allegedly sexually abused a neighbour’s sheep was yesterday charged by a Nakuru court with bestiality.
Geoffrey Ndirangu, who appeared in court clad in a white jacket, was accused of engaging in an unnatural act with the sheep on September 22 2014 at Milangine village in Nyandarua.
The court was told by prosecuting inspector Sirorey Rop that the accused defiled the sheep belonging to Nancy Nyambura to death.
He said the accused committed the offence at a grazing field where the sheep had been tied to graze by the owner in the afternoon.
However, the accused, who appeared before senior principal magistrate Felix Kombo, denied the charges saying he was found passing around the grazing field where the sheep was tethered.
He was released on Sh 200,000 bond and a surety of a similar amount. Ndirangu, who could not raise the amount at once, was escorted to Nakuru Central police station where he was remanded.
The case will be heard on October 4 this year.
