A man was on Monday charged in an Eldoret court with defiling a teenager after assaulting her.

The court heard that the accused committed the offense between July 15 and November 11, 2017, at Milimani village in Matunda, Uasin Gishu county.

Wasike however, denied the assaulting the girl aged 16 before raping her.

He pleaded to be released on bond on grounds that he has children to look after.

The court released him on a bond of Sh100,000.

The hearing of the case was scheduled for today, Tuesday.
