A middle-aged man was yesterday charged with fraudulently obtaining Sh6.5 million by pretending that he was in a position to sell land.
Paul Kipwambok alias Samuel was charged that on diverse dates between March 24 and May 5, 2014, he illegally acquired a tittle deed purporting to be a genuine owner from Nakuru lands office and later used it to sell a four-hectare piece of land to one Moses Chege.
He denied committing the offence when he appeared before chief magistrate Samuel Mungai and was released on a Sh1.5 million bond.
The case will be mentioned on March 26.
