A man accused of careless driving and causing an accident which left a motorcyclist injured has been charged at a Kikuyu court.
Wilson Kimani appeared before acting principal magistrate Elvis Michieka and was charged with careless driving contrary to section 49(1) as read with section 16 of Traffic Act 2012 amendment.
The court heard that on July 29 this year, and taking no consideration of motorists and other road users, the accused drove his car carelessly within Kikuyu and caused an accident where motorcyclist Kelvin Kamau was hurt.
Kimani denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of Sh40,000. The case will be mentioned on August 8 and heard on October 30 this year.
Separately, a woman accused of killing a man and seriously injuring another along Limuru road was arraigned at the Kiambu law courts. The accused denied the charges and was released on bond, pending hearing of the case.
