A 24 year old man has died while another one is receiving treatment at Kenyatta national hospital after they were electrocuted while working at a construction site in Athi River, Mavoko sub county.Confirming the incident, Athi River police boss Sharma Wario said that the two were working at the safaricom pension scheme project construction site when the incident happened.He observed that the incident happened at around 11:30 am when the stakeholders of the project were holding a meeting in the premises boardroom.

"The two Michael simiyu and Arnold Yego were working near a lorry that was mixing concrete,there was no contact between the electric wires and the combustion machine," he said.He said that the two were rushed to Shalom hospital for treatment where simiyu aged 24 years was pronounced dead on arrival.He noted that relevant experts and Kenya power officers have visited the scene and are investigating the incident.Wario added that the experts who visited the scene said that the electric lines might be faulty hence the currents flowing all over.The body of the man is being  preserved at shalom hospital mortuary awaiting postmoterm.
