A middle aged man was on Friday killed after allegedly being thrown out of a moving Kenya Bus Service (KBS) vehicle along Mombasa road on Friday night.
It is alleged that an argument ensued between the crew and the deceased identified as Christopher Chieng Otiende after the bus failed to stop at the stage.
Reports indicate that Otiende was pushed by the KBS crew where he was hit by an oncoming car.
He died on the spot while the car drove off.
According to the deceased widow, Sheila Maxellen Ochieng, 28, her husband was pushed out of the speeding bus by the conductor for inquiring why the driver failed to stop the bus at the necessary stage.
"His crime was kubishana na hao. Those cursed sons of the devil pushed him out of a moving bus along Mombasa road and a car hit him," Sheila posted on her facebook page.
Speaking to this writer, a representative from KBS confirmed the incident stating that the victim was pushed out of the vehicle by another passenger for declining to close the door.
"He was not thrown out by one of our staff but rather one passenger who was complaining about the opened door considering that it was night," said the representative.
Witness accounts indicate that Otiende had no physical contact with any passenger, something that contradicts the version by KBS representatives.
The postmortem was scheduled for Sunday by press time.
The deceased leaves behind a widow and a two-year old son.
