A-48-year old man has died after he was found unconscious outside a mortuary in Yatta, Machakos County on Wednesday.
The unidentified man was found outside Matuu Mediance mortuary.
The incident was confirmed by Yatta police boss Edward Changach who said the deceased lost his life while receiving treatment at Matuu Level Four Hospital on Wednesday.
"It was reported by Matuu chief that a male adult was lying unconscious in front of Matuu mortuary, police arrived at the scene and rushed him to Matuu Level Four Hospital for medication where he died while undergoing treatment," Changach said.
Changach said the man was discovered by members of the public who notified the chief.
The body was moved to Matuu Mediance Mortuary.
Changach said postmortem will be conducted on the body to establish what caused the man's death.
"The death's cause hasn't been established yet, we will wait for postmortem results," Changach said.
