A man died on Tuesday evening at Moiben shopping center in Uasin Gishu County after he was hit on the head with a stone.
This followed a heated quarrel between the two men.
According to villagers who witnessed, the two men quarreled for a while before the assailant hit him on the head with a stone.
"They quarreled for over one hour before the suspect hit the deceased on the head with a stone,” said William Yego, a witness.
Yego said locals did not establish what the two were quarreling about.
“We never thought the quarrel will end up to death. No one bothered to ask them what was the problem they were quarreling about,” he added.
The man died while he was being taken to the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital in Eldoret town.
The suspect has gone into hiding and the police are after him.
