Three suspects are being held at Serem Police Station in Vihiga in connection with the death of a man who was lynched by a mob on Saturday.
The man was found dead on Sunday morning after he was beaten up on by an angry mob in Cheptulu, Hamisi Sub-County, for beating up his 25-year-old daughter.
The victim is also said to have injured his daughter with a knife.
Hamisi Deputy County Commissioner Dennis Kirui confirmed the incident on Sunday.
“He (the deceased) may have sustained some internal injuries because he went back to his home and slept only to be found dead this morning (Sunday). We have arrested three people who are helping us with investigations,” Kirui spoke to The Nation.
