It is the talk of the town in Maseno after it was found that a man dug his own grave long ago before he died.
68 years old man known as Mike Lugalo had dug his grave10 years ago and told his wife Anne Lugalo to keep the matter secretive until his death.
The grave was dug inside a muddy structure which the deceased kept very restricted.
After his death on Thursday, the wife of the deceased informed the burial arrangement committee that her husband had left some conditions to be honored after his death.
“My dad had dug his own grave 10 years back and instructed mum to ensure his burial conditions were honored,” Cynthia Namuonja, the daughter of the deceased told Hivisasa Writer on Friday.
Among the conditions laid down informed that the deceased was not to be buried in a casket. Instead, he was to be wrapped in banana leaf and laid to rest in his own grave.
According to his wife, the deceased had also refused to allow his eldest son who is in Saudi Arabia to attend his burial saying he had neglected him for a long time.
Mike will be laid to rest on Saturday with all his conditions set to be applied
