Mr Douglas Otieno aka Daggy Owila, 29, flowered his son Rayan Tyron with a birthday party worth Sh1.2m last month at Royal City Hotel in Kisumu.
However, days after the lavish party, he is not able to pay Sh35,000 office rent.
The arrears have accumulated to Sh 118,000 according to The Standard Digital Entertainment.
Dan Aguko, the agent of the apartment claims man who gained fame on social media after the event has vanished into thin air forcing the facility management to confiscate his office furniture and several documents.
The Polyview Estate apartment space has been rented out to another tenant as they continue pursuing Daggy.
The SDE quotes the building agent saying the last money he got from Mr Owila was Sh22,000 in July while tThe rest has remained empty promises.
“The seats and documents we are holding cannot be converted to cash to recover the amount of money he owes us; hence we are still pursuing him to pay the money. Sometime, he never picks calls and at times he receives and gives promises. The latest promise is [at the] end of this month, so we are waiting for the deadline,” said Aguko as quoted by SDE.
“People come to inquire if we have space and we tell them no. We have now decided to lease the house as this is business and we cannot leave a house vacant yet the tenant is not honouring the agreement. We only discovered that the equipment were missing when Daggy came with police, and since only the tables and chairs were there, I took them into our store. I hope he will pay us our money so that we release the furniture,” added Aguko.
