The man is said to be running for safety after police raided a home where they were drinking illegal illicit brew chang’aa.

Residents said the man sustained head and abdomen injuries after two other men felled in the same toilet.

Kisii South Sub County assistant commissioner Thomas Bett confirmed the incident and said police will not stop the crackdown on illicit brews in the area until illegal business ends.

"Interior Cs Fred Matiang’i issued a directive that illicit brew makers and sellers should be arrested and prosecuted and that what police are doing. Residents engaging in illegal business should stop to avoid arrests," said Bett.

He urged residents to venture into legal businesses to earn a living instead of engaging in outlawed businesses.
