A Thika court yesterday fined a man Sh30,000 or a four-month imprisonment after it found him guilty of using an abuse language.
Joseph Waititu was convicted and sentenced by resident magistrate Walter Onchuru.
Waititu was charged with insulting his girlfriend.
The court was told that the complainant, Kezia Wairimu, reported the matter to the police, who in turn arrested Waititu.
The accused admitted to committing the offence on October 28 this year at Super Mamba pub in Muguga area of Kiambu County.
Prosecutor John Kimani told the court that the accused went to the pub in the afternoon and insulted his former girlfriend by calling her a prostitute and dog in the presence of other people.
