A 35-year old man on Thursday stabbed his wife in Boni.
The cause for this is attributed to a domestic quarrel between the couple.
Abdi Ahmed, a resident of Boni is said to have extensively quarrelled with his wife before stabbing her.
Reports say the woman had earlier gone to the market and came home late that day. That is when the argument erupted.
"We heard them quarrelling yesterday at around 8.00 in the evening. The husband was suspecting the wife had been with another man. We heard screams. Reaching there, we found the wife lying on the floor having been stabbed," said an eyewitness.
The lady was rushed to the nearest clinic before being transferred to Garissa Provincial Hospital where she is currently being catered to.
The police are now hunting for the man who fled after committing the crime.
