A body of a middle-aged man was on Thursday found along the road after drinking illicit liquor at Casino village, Molo sub-county.
The body was recovered from a trench where it is believed drown after a heavy downpour on Wednesday evening.
Residents have expressed concerns over the high incidents of illicit brew, pointing an accusing finger to security personnel for failing to curb the menace even after the President gave a directive to end illegal drinks.
Former area Councilor, Njenga Matendo has condemned the rise of deaths related to illicit alcohol claiming brewers bribe police in the area to keep brewing.
“It is becoming evident that the leaders are not willing to fight the illicit liquor even after the President gave a go ahead of the battle. They have been receiving bribes from the brewers making them unfit to hold the offices,” Njenga said.
