A middle-aged man on Tuesday committed suicide by jumping from the 15th floor of Nairobi's Pension Towers.
Confirming the incident, police said that the man had visited a relative and after talks with the kin, they parted ways.
Shortly after, he jumped from the window on the 15th floor of the building and could not be rescued as he died instantly after suffering a cracked skull and more other multiple injuries.
“We are interrogating a few people to find out what may have triggered the suicide,” said Central police chief Paul Wanyama.
An eye witness said they saw the man fall while screaming and when they got outside, they found him dead on the ground.
“He was screaming as he went down. When we went outside, we found him dead. His body was really damaged,” said Ms Pauline Njambi.
The body was later taken to the City Mortuary.
