A family in Nyarandi sub-location, Kisii county cannot explain what has befallen them after one member of their family reportedly disappeared and was found dead in a sugarcane plantation yesterday.
According to the area assistant chief Kennedy Gisairo, the case was reported to his office on 2nd of March, 2016 and the residents began the search for the 42-year-old Joash Arati, who was reported to have been with his friends on the day of his disappearance but they did not succeed in their quest.
Yesterday, the body of Joash Arati was found dumped inside a sugarcane plantation by the residents who have been conducting the search.
The residents have now demanded to have his three friends arrested to explain how he disappeared and finally died under unknown circumstances.
