Residents of Karanja estate in Kibera woke up to a shocking incident on Wednesday morning after they found a man dead in house.
The man identified as Jamal Matolo was known by residents as a seller who worked in a chips shop next to his small house.
The cause of his death is yet to be known, though his colleagues said he had been complaining of chest problems.
"Matolo had been selling chips here for a long time and most people around here know him. He had been complaining of chest pain most of the time and that might be one of the possible reasons behind his death although we cannot justify," said one of the residents who was a close friend to the deceased.
The body of the deceased was taken to City mortuary pending investigations.
Kilimani OCPD Peter Kattam confirmed the incident.
"I have received the information and instructed my officers to investigate the matter," confirmed Kattam on the phone.
